Your gift for Giving Tuesday makes stability, connection, and opportunity possible for DC Bilingual families.
This Giving Tuesday, December 2, DC Bilingual is rallying our community to raise $70,000 to ensure every family has the support they need during this uniquely challenging time.
Why? Families across DC are navigating unemployment, unstable housing, immigration and legal challenges, and health-related hardships. At the same time, federal funding cuts have eliminated critical partnerships like FoodCorps and Reading Partners.
With your support, DC Bilingual is stepping in to fill these gaps.
Your generous gift for Giving Tuesday will help us:
Establish and grow a dedicated Family Support Fund in order to provide special accommodations for families in crisis, such as emergency assistance and scholarships for the Hive Extended Day Program.
Strengthen our Family Engagement Team who conduct ongoing outreach, wellness checks, and maintain connections to essential community resources—ensuring families feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Provide critical resources and learning opportunities through a series of caregiver workshops, well-being programming, and the monthly Family Food Market—while sustaining the community-building events that help our families feel connected.
If you cannot donate at this time–or would like to do more–there are other ways you can make a difference for families at DC Bilingual!
Contribute non-perishable food items. To donate, you may leave items in the collection boxes located at the school entrances. If you are not a caregiver or staff member, please contact us to coordinate a donation! Goods will be collected through Friday, December 12.
Volunteer with DC Bilingual! Our community has stepped up in a big way to support families in need. As a volunteer, you can support a variety of tasks, such as grocery delivery, transportation, school safety, or assist at the monthly market.
